Perspective Drawing

We started off by learning how to do 3D drawings using 1, 2 and 3 point perspectives which I had never done before, so I started with simple boxes and then moved to an orange. This is where I discovered spherical perspective drawings were a lot harder to get right, but I think my oranges went well considering. I then went on to practice perspective drawings with items around my room and tried to practice on more round shapes such as my watering can handbag and a camera. The watering can went alright, however with the camera I really struggled to get the angle of the lens correct in all the perspectives.

We then moved on to drawing pieces of furniture from different perspectives, this went a lot better than the objects around my room as there were a lot straighter lines and structures to follow, especially the cabinet. With the tiffany lamp I just mapped out the basic shapes as I struggled to get the curves and details correct.

The next step we took was adding these pieces of furniture into rooms with it all in perspective. I added a sofa desk and lamp into this room, and I feel it went well, again I struggled with the curves of the desk and trying to get everything to the same scale but other than that it’s a believable scene.
